Tai Chi Chuan
As an internal martial art, tai chi has its foundation in the cultivation of qi, or life force energy. Body awareness is a key to internal energy. Learning tai chi and cultivating awareness demands utmost attention. Developing body awareness allows one to internally relax. Tai Chi practice cultivates the wisdom of the senses, body, mind, and energy together. It teaches us to tap into our chi or life force and attain harmony. Practice develops ones’ ability to connect to the moment, thereby increasing the quality of life.
Chi kung or Qigong
are exercises to develop internal energy. Chi kung postures are designed to open the energy meridians within the body through combining movement, breathe, energy, focus, alignment and timing. Improve balance, flexibility, awareness, develop greater centering, coordination, and sensitivity.
