Experience Qigong (Chi Kung) with Elaine Waters
QIGONG (chi kung) movements are designed to open the energy meridians of the body through combining body movement,
breathe, energy, focus, alignment and timing.
In qigong practice, building internal energy is the primary focus. Qigong literally means: energy art practiced over a period of time to achieve excellence.
Qigong practice improves balance, flexibility, awareness, and develops greater centering, coordination, and sensitivity.
Qigong "Standing" is a foundation exercise used to the practice many qigong routine, where the body holds a standing posture and the arms move. expanding and contracting from pressure made into the root. Based on theory of balancing opposites, in chi kung standing, the body holds an expanded stationary shape while internally energy is dropping with gravity, and building up in the root.
Chi Kung movements can be very small and used to relax and rejuvenate the body. or they can be spiraling, expanding and very large.
Chi Kung has moving routines, where the whole body flows, like Swimming Dragon Chi Kung,
or Water/Fire Balancing Chi Kung.
Most chi kung movements open and close, expand and contract, which is co-ordinated with inhale and exhale, compress and release.
Chi Kung combines gentle movements, breathing, and mental focus.
Qigong movements are designed to build energy, clear energy, refresh energy or rejuvenate energy.
